Cloud B Mimicking Monkey - Play, Relax, Sleep (Review)

Getting baby to relax and calm down before sleep isn't always an easy task. Many times baby wants to be held, talked to or just know that you are there. But, as busy parents, nap time is usually the time that we have to get all of our daily tasks and chores accomplished. Here is where the Mimicking Monkey from Cloud B comes into play. It helps baby calm the mind, ease anxiety and achieve a more peaceful sleep.
The Cloud B Mimicking Monkey plays fun and soothing sounds designed to entertain, educate and help children achieve a better sleep. Its unique dual track voiceover option allows you to record personal messages along with each sound to perfectly transform your child’s play, relax or bedtime environment. The Mimicking Monkey helps stir the imagination while magically transporting children to the mysterious Amazon Rainforest.

By changing the position of the slide switch to play sound back with a recording or without, you are either able to record your personalized message or just listen to monkeys chattering ("play"), the relaxing sounds of the waterfall ("relax") or the soothing lullaby ("sleep"). If you choose to record your voice, simply press and hold the "rec" button and speak into the microphone located above that button. When you are finished recording (it records up to 10 seconds), release the button and listen to your recording play back with any sound option.
The Mimicking Monkey from Cloud B comes equipped with a sleep timer that automatically shuts off after 30 minutes. Also, to secure it to cribs and strollers, the Mimicking Monkey features Velcro hands to ensure that monkey is close to baby at all times. It also comes with a beautifully illustrated storybook and adoption certificate.

Cloud B recently sent us a Mimicking Monkey to review and to truly appreciate it, you have to see it in person. The Monkey's fur is super soft and cuddly and its features are simply adorable. I love that it has three different sound options to choose from (Play - Monkey Fun: Relax - Angle Falls: Sleep - Lullaby) and the fact that your voice can be played back to baby over these sounds is truly great. Princess P has really taken up with the Mimicking Monkey and she loves to hear my voice emit from it. She also loves the Mimicking Monkey Storybook that was included with the monkey. The Cloud B Mimicking Monkey is a cleverly designed product that is simply adorable.

I really wanted to record a video that showcased the features of the Mimicking Monkey, but Princess P had other ideas. She would not leave the monkey alone and absolutely refused to let me do a video about it without her being in it. And while this is not the best video, it gives you an idea of how the Mimicking Monkey from Cloud B works.
