Happy Fall from the Highest Point in our State!
When I was younger, we always traveled to a local state park for their fall festival and to have my birthday party. I remember many years of opening presents on a gigantic rock and then heading off for a afternoon full of hiking and apple cider. These are some of my happiest memories from childhood. However, for various reasons, we hadn't been to this state park in about 15 years and I was pretty bummed about it. So, I was delighted when my family and I decided to head up there this year. Not only did we get to celebrate my birthday and my little cousins birthday, but I also got take my girls and show them how beautiful this place truly is!
Princess P and her many cousins spent the day playing in the laurel thickets and making houses on top of gigantic rocks. We couldn't have asked for a better day, especially since the temperature up there is 10-15 degrees (and sometimes more) cooler.
